I created an online course titled Virtual Production: 3D Asset Creation for NYU Tandon School of Engineering. The class introduces the fundamentals of the 3D to Virtual Production pipeline, covering the basics of 3D asset creation to design aesthetically rich virtual environments in Unreal Engine. Participants will learn how to model, animate, and UV map 3D assets in Autodesk Maya, create seamless textures in Photoshop and Substance Painter, and optimize 3D assets in UE4 to build dynamic scenes using custom-built models, physically-based materials, and lighting effects. The course was funded by an Epic Games Grant to teach 3D artists and animators, technical directors, digital fabricators, UX designers, and immersive storytellers how to conceive realistic and responsive virtual scenes in UE4.
